UNN Releases Calendar for 2023/2024 Academic Session

This is to inform Newly Admitted Candidates, Returning Students, Parents, Guardians and all concerned that the University will be commencing the 2023/2024 academic session on Monday, May 06, 2024.

Highlight of the approved Timetable of Events of the University for the 2023/2024 Academic Session include:

FIRST SEMESTER OF THE 2023-2024 SESSION

APRIL 2024

Monday, August 8: Registration of courses starts for fresh students only.
(to be done entirely online)
Wednesday, April 24: Online registration of courses begins for other students.
Tuesday, 30: Hostel allocation begins for all students.

MAY 2024

Saturday, April 4: All students return to campus.
Monday, 06: Lectures begin for all students.
Friday 10: Registration ends for all students.
Monday, 13: Late registration begins

JULY 2024

Friday, May 5: Late registration ends.
Friday 19: Lectures end
Monday, 22: Revision begins
Friday, 26: Revision ends
Monday, 29: Departmental examinations begin

AUGUST 2024

Friday 02: Departmental examinations end
Monday, May 5: Examinations in inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses
begin
Saturday 16: Examinations in inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses
end

END OF FIRST SEMESTER AND STUDENTS VACATE CAMPUS

SECOND SEMESTER OF THE 2023-2024 SESSION

AUGUST 2024

Friday, 30: Students return to campus.

SEPTEMBER 2024

Monday 02: Registration begins for all students.
Tuesday, 03: Lectures begin
Friday 13: Registration ends.
Last day for submission of first semester results to the
Department. The processing of results begins in the department.
Monday, 16: Late registration begins
Mon 23–Fri 27: Departmental Board meets to approve first semester results

OCTOBER 2024

Friday, April 4, is the last day for submission of the first semester results to the
Registry (Examinations). The processing of results begins in the
Registry
Friday 11: Deadline for checking results by heads of department.
Mon 14–Fri 18: Faculty Board meets to approve first semester results

NOVEMBER 2024

Friday 22: Lectures end
Monday, 25: Revision begins
Friday, 29: Revision ends

DECEMBER 2024

Monday 02: Departmental examinations begin
Friday, 06: Departmental examinations end.
Monday, 09: Examinations in inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses
begin
Saturday 20: Examinations in inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses
end
